In 2017, I've been given the opportunity to organize a TEDx event. If you're wondering how I was given this opportunity, it's pretty simple. Archish Mittal and I met in a bar in Brussels in 2016. We had a couple drinks together, and we directly had a good vibe talking to each other about our vision towards life. A few days later, he sent me a message saying: "Hey Jacques, I just received the license agreement to organize a TEDx event, and I want you on board to organize this with me". He didn't even know about my work experience, studies, etc. It was all about energy and connection. Of course I instantly accepted to be part of this.

The most staggering thing that we’ve realised is motivation comes from within but it needs to be triggered by an external force. We want to communicate the importance of being a “good parasite”, that means taking out a positive lesson out of each incident that happens in ones life. It is important to keep moving forward and look at the bright side.
A person can be motivated after watching a “Ted Talk” for a day , and then go back to being the same person, with the lack of inspiration. That is why you have to find motivation in everything and everyone around you. It is important to get motivated by getting inspired by people, movies, books, documentaries you name it. Meeting people should motivate you, as every person has their own story which is inspiring in its own unique way, you just need to know where to look.
We derive motivation by seeing someone who follows their passion and pursues their dream. It’s all about the perspective, if one wants to complain all their lives, they wouldn’t find anything inspiring but if someone wants to dream and accomplish their ambitions, they will find motivation even in the sunrise. By the end of the day it all boils down to the fact that “ A person has to make the most of the cards they’ve been dealt”. If you’re motivated, you can even turn an average hand to a winner on the poker table, it’s all about the drive.
Our aim is to empower people. Give them something to look forward to and derive inspiration to be better, happier, and more successful people. The same people who are scared to leave they houses. We want to give them the power of believing. Believing in themselves, and believing in humankind. At a very young age I realized the importance of believing in oneself, but as I grew older, I realized the most important thing is not believing in yourself, but believing in someone else. The best gift you can give to someone is not a Ferrari, but the gift of believing in them. This is the greatest gesture you can shower upon any human in your lifetime, to give them strength and courage to follow their passion and dream by believing in them, when no one else did! Such a feeling of empowerment is compared to none.
